I didn't always know I was going to be a designer. But one thing I have been absolutely confident about since I first became self aware:
Crayola Red-Orange is the best color.
Like, of all the colors.
Period.
It's the color of a manifesto.
Of a new era.
It can be that little pop of color that draws the eye.
It can be the accent.
Or it can be the atomically overwhelmingly gushing force of the universe staring you right in the eyes - beckoning you to venture onwards.
And none of my childhood drawings were complete without it.
One thing it should never be however, is the background color to your website. For one, there's not enough contrast between letters and the back. And strikingly, when you look away, you might see "zebra" stripes as your eyes adjust to your surroundings.
It's a veritable physical example of our power as designers (visually, anyhow).
I work with people and teams with powerful visions and opinions of the future.
I prefer to think we have a say in our destiny.
